District 34A

District Governor is Renie Bright.

District 34-A serves the counties of: Blount, Cherokee, Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan, and Winston.

District 34B

District Governor is Tracy Thompson.

District 34-B serves the counties of: Autauga, Bibb, Calhoun, Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Lee, Perry, Pickens, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, and Walker.

District 34C

District Governor is Todd Denison.

District 34-C serves the counties of: Baldwin, Barbour, Bullock, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Coffee, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Dallas, Escambia, Geneva, Henry, Houston, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Mobile, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Russell, Sumter, Washington, and Wilcox.

Jerry Stephens

Council Chair Jerry Stephens

Jerry has been a Lion for more than 20 years, with the last 3 years spent as a member of the Athens Lions Club. He served as a District Governor in 2013-14 from District 10 (Michigan). Since relocating to Alabama, he has served as the LCIF District Chair and also the Peace Poster Contest Chair for District 34-A.  Jerry also received the Leadership Medal for 2016-2017 and the Presidential Leadership Medal for 2018-2019.  In addition to his Lions service, Jerry also volunteers at his church, serving as a Lector, Usher and working in the kitchen as needed. 

Jerry is a graduate of Lake Superior State University, with majors in Computer Science and Mathematics. He has worked in higher education his entire career, and is currently employed as a Database Administrator by Athens State University. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys riding his Harley, playing golf, and woodworking.

 

2025 State Convention

We will have two local service projects on Friday morning.

The Friday night casual dinner event will be a “Helen Keller/Knights of the Blind” themed event.

Emergency Response Trailers

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAILERS DELIVERED TO ALABAMA LIONS

Three state ALERT (Alabama Lions Emergency Response Team) trailers were delivered to Alabama Lions State Districts, A, B, & C.

The trailers will provide emergency personal items and cleaning supplies to areas affected by natural disaster on behalf of the Lions Club International Foundation. The trailers were a result of monies received via a grant from LCIF called “Disaster Preparedness.”
